Spring has FINALLY sprung and here is a gorgeous green work of art to prove it! Signed by both designers, this beautiful piece was created circa late 1980's when Mr. St. Gielar began working with Mr. Hagler. Only the highest quality materials were routinely used by Messrs. Hagler and St. Gielar. Hand wired with prong set crystals, seed pearls and stones, this brooch looks almost as good from the beautifully filigreed reverse side as from the front! Measuring approximately 2.5 inches wide and approximately 3 inches long (excluding the white frosted leaf which extends. when worn, on the upper left), this brooch bursts with translucent flowers, buds and leaves as well as large, white, navette givre stones comprising a flower which sits . You can easily get dizzy trying to absorb all that is going on here - Russian goldplated filigree cradling the flowers which are brimming with grass green glass beads, larger leaves covered in even more green glass stones, different sizes - and shades - of green chatons dotted throughout. The overall design is very organic - the surface height changes throughout, just as one would find in nature. Unfortunately, neither designer is still with us but fortunately for us, their imaginative designs will live on through posterity. Questions?
