Signed International Waltrous- Fantastic Edwardian sterling silver Tobacciana cigarette case, with a gorgeous hand hammered finish, front and back. Simple engraved border and central engraving plaque for initial (has not been engraved). Measures 4" x 3" x 1/4"- perfect size for business cards or credit cards. Weighs a very sturdy 112.5 grams. Hallmarked on the inner cross bar "International Sterling Wm. Wise & Son" with the Webster makers mark. In fantastic condition, extremely well babied over its lifetime. Snaps shut nice and tight. Circa early 1910-20. One of the original American silver manufacturers to become part of International Silver Co, in 1898.
