Offered in todays Auction is this wonderful Victorian carved oak Arm Chair. This Chair has a label on the inside of a leg that identifies the maker as KARPEN from Chicago. On each arm is a carved Dolphin. These are very well carved with nice detail. T is a nicely scroll type carving at the front feet. The Chair is upholstered in its original leather. It is ripped and would want to be reupholstered. The Chair is in its original finish that is worn in some places. The /chair is structurally sound and is tight and sturdy. This was found this week on the coast of Maine. A great piece of signed American Oak!!! It measures 40 1/2" tall, is 23 1/2" wide, and is about 20" deep.
