Upon request I have tried to do a better job of photographing the signature on this piece and have added three photos of it...I am not an expert on Tiffany,as a matter of fact,when I was writting my description last night,I mispelled Tiffany three times(Tiffiny) before I caught it and rewrote it (I was on my third beer)...I purchased the glass on the merit of the beauty of the piece and the signature on the bottom...if you have any doubts as to its authenticity,do not bid on it,it's that simple...Beautiful signed L.C.Tiffany Favrile antique art glass compote...standing 7 1/4" tall,with a 4 1/2" base,with its top opening (mouth) aproximately 7" wide...this impressive one of a kind piece is beautiful in design and color...its colors range from pale yellow,rose,gold,silver and purple and is iridescent...the piece is solid and compact and in overall fantastic condition...the piece is in as found condition purchased from an antiques dealer (with receipt of purchase) and is being sold with no other provenance known,you be the expert...the piece has in its lifetime had a repair at the bottom as shown in the photo...it is a solid repair and does not detract from the piece,it is as solid as a rock and still impressive...the repair seems to have been done by someone who knew what they were doing,but were not masters of glass repair...if I were going to keep this piece (I'm not a glass collector) I would spend the few dollars and have a qualified glass repair person fix it again in order to bring it to its pristine state...this is an outstanding piece of Tiffany art glass worthy of any great glass collection...questions???...email before bidding
