This auction item is for a Signed Large Goebel HUMMEL Boy Figurine titled "Hear Ye, Hear Ye" ~ No. 15/1. This beautiful 6" high figurine is in mint condition free of chips, repairs or crazing. It is the image of a little boy blowing a horn and holding a long-handled axe and lantern. As shown in the photos, the piece is beautifully colored with his blue coat, yellow scarf, orange gloves, horn, pocket watch and lantern, brown hat and gray/black boots. His ruddy face and legs add more color to the piece. The M. J. Hummel signature is incised on the top side back of the round base. Other key s ignature information on the bottom: incised number 15/1 and in blue lettering Goebel, W. Germany , without bee mark (trademark 6) and in black, artist signature mark looks like a "H" then 82 (see photo below). Of note, piece does not come with a box.
