This is a very scarce pattern by Libbey. "Senora" does not turn up very often. Very few collections have examples in them of this well documented Libbey pattern. The exact bowl is illustrated in the large Libbey red catalog reprint on page 44. This catalog is from 1904. The bowl is also clearly signed with the sabre beneath the word Libbey signature. Libbey was one of the top cutting houses of the American Brilliant period. Their designs were outstanding and most were conceptions of their well known designer William C. Anderson. This pattern was likely a product of his work. Libbey is also well known for blowing their own high quality blanks. This one is clear and very heavy. The cutting is very well done and very deep. This is a heavy piece also. The pattern is very interesting. The vesicas design is like nothing else in cut glass. The central large miters are also very unique and add to the singularity of the piece's design. Don't miss a chance to acquire something unique for your collection. The bowl measures 9 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall . It is in excellent condition. Only 2 very tiny tooth nicks, very minor. It flouresces under blacklight indicating American Brilliant Period (1876-1916). Each winning item will be carefully packaged for safe delivery. Particulaly fragile items are generally double boxed with packing
