C by Tom McCarthy As New, First U.S. Edition, First Printing. Knopf, New York, 2010. SIGNED, LINED, and DATED by the author directly on an author page, opposite the title page, in the month and year of publication. Book is very fine in a very fine dust jacket, which is protected by a removeable Brodart archival cover. Totally flawless and comes from a smoke-free home. Dated "16th Sept 2010". Line reads (in McCarthy's terrible handwriting) "Nobody is there to see it go." In fact, this is an author error, as the final line in the book actually begins with "no one", not "nobody", so it is quite rare indeed to have an author error lining his own book. This is one of the VERY few editions I have seen, U.S. or U.K., that is lined. An especially unique copy thus. Sure to appreciate in value. Shortlisted for the 2010 Booker Prize.
