Up for your consideration, a spectacular oil on canvas painted in 1961 by Contemporary French School cubist Rene Margotton depicting a floral still life entitled "Coupe et Fleurs Vermillion."Signed and registered #29617 32-16 along with certificate of authenticity. Double matted on linen with velvet French mat.Wonderful colors, masterful brushstrokes - a great addition to any collection and works well in modern or traditional settings.Measurements:Frame: 40" high x 24" widePainting: 31" high x 15.5" widePlease note: there are some minor chips to the frame on the lower right and upper left. When viewing the overall painting, they are not as noticeable as they are in the closeups, as the gold leaf is a matte, almost antique color. It in no way detracts from this lovely painting and can easily be touched up.Purchased at a reputable Cleveland, Ohio gallery about ten years ago for $3500. Margotton's works have been shown in museums and galleries across the globe and a painting of this size recenlty sold at auction for close to $8K. My mother is downsizing and selling her collection. This is a great opportunity to invest in a truly superb painting by the very last of the recognized cubists of the 20th century.Item will be properly packed and insured with tracking.René Margotton was a French paintor of the School of Paris and the last cubist
