MONT JOYE SIGNED ART GLASS VASE!
EXCEPTIONAL FRENCH ART GLASS! GORGEOUS! This auction is for a very beautiful Mont Joye vase. Decorated with thick enameled purple and white iris and gold gilt leaves on a textured chipped ice light green ground. T are no chips, no cracks, and no deposit stains. Pieces signed Mont Joye were produced by Saint-Hilaire, Touvier, de Varreaux & Company, successors to Monot & Stumpf at their glassworks in Pantin, just north of Paris. The trade mark "Mont Joye" was used mostly on lightly acid-cut etched cameo glass by the same works that produced pieces signed De Vez. The masterful detailed work put into the flowers really make them look three dimensional. It measures 6 1/4" high and is 2 1/4" wide and is a square shape. It is marked on the bottom. This is fresh to the market and was purchased from an estate in Nashville, Tennessee from an antique dealer and collector who sold her collection due to moving into a retirement home. It does not have any gold gilding on the top rim. It is as found, with no chips, no cracks, no deposit stains. I will be listing other art glass and pottery including Daum Nancy, Quezal, Rookwood, Schneider, and Muller Freres. T is a very MODEST RESERVE on this auction!
