Mozart was a man of many talents and played various instruments. Here Mozart is shown playing the violin. He places the violin underneath his chin and draws the bow back to create a resonating sound that will never be forgotten. He is dressed in tradition 1700- 1800 clothes; He wears a buttoned fitted long shirt with a ruffled shirt underneath and a long fitted cloak like jacket. This bronze sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and has a beautiful hand painted patina. He is 100% bronze and is mounted on a marble base, he is signed by the artist Collett. This sculpture is signed by the artist Collett. Edouard-Louis Collett was a Swiss artist born in 1876.Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's full baptismal name was Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart he was born January 27, 1756 and died December 5, 1791. Mozart was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era . He composed over 600 works , many acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic , concertante , chamber , piano , operatic , and choral music . He is among the most enduringly popular of classical composers.Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood in Salzburg . Already competent on keyboard and violin , he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty; at 17 he was engaged as a court musician in Salzburg, but grew restless and traveled in search of a better position, always composing abundantly. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was dismissed from his Salzburg position. He chose to stay in the capital, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas, and the Requiem . The circumstances of his early death have been much mythologized. He was survived by his wife Constanze and two sons.Mozart learned voraciously from others, and developed a brilliance and maturity of style that encompassed the light and graceful along with the dark and passionate--the whole informed by a vision of humanity "redeemed through art, forgiven, and reconciled with nature and the absolute." His influence on subsequent Western art music is profound. Here is the process the way we do it at European Bronze.Original ArtThe beginning of the process starts with something to represent what the customer wants as a finished piece. It can be a clay model as in the illustration above. It can be a sculpted or molded wooden model, something done in metal, something done in wax or any other material that you want to use to begin the process. This becomes the model for the final piece.Making the MoldMolds can be simple or complex depending on the original art. After determine how best to make a mold or molds, we take the original like the one in the previous photograph and create the mold using a silicone material. The original art is placed on a bed of clay (the red material in the photo). When the clay is smooth at the parting point of the mold, liquid silicone is brushed onto the model and the clay as the man is doing above.
