A rare and meticulously crafted silver concho pin by the famous deceased Navajo silversmith Austin Wilson. This piece likely dates to the 1940 - 50 period. Austin Wilson, also known as Ike Wilson, did quite a bit of work for C. G. Wallace at his trading post at Zuni. He is well known for his stamp work. The pin has an oval repousse center with stamped rays around it. The perimeter has stamping and punched holes. It has a rollover safety clasp. This pin is stamped with Wilson's bow and arrow hallmark. The pin is 2 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/8 inches tall. It weighs 22.4 grams and is in excellent vintage condition. It is unmarked for silver content, but is probably sterling. Winning U.S. bidder will pay shipping via Priority Mail and delivery confirmation based on one pound or less to your ZIP Code.
