This is a very rare and desirable drawing, in the manner of Pablo Picasso, and is signed “Picasso”. The drawing is undated. I have done some preliminary research and believe the drawing is from the early 1960s, as it most closely resembles other known drawings from that period. The figure on the far-left (close-up in photo #5) appears to me to be Picasso himself. This piece was obtained from an art dealer in Spain , who said he found it several years ago at a market in Toulouse , France . The medium is black ink on aged paper. This is a genuine drawing and not a reproduction or print of any kind. The drawing itself is 8" x 11 1/2" and the framed piece is 23 1/2" x 28". The piece has been finely custom framed and triple-matted with archival, acid-free materials by a professional framer. The artwork is safely held in place without the use of adhesives. Matting and mounting boards are 100% archival cotton. The glass is UV protective, anti-reflective Masterpiece glass. The glass utilizes a coating similar to that used on eyeglasses and camera lenses. I have had this drawing in my personal collection but financial circumstances caused by the recession are forcing me to offer it for sale. About Picasso He was the greatest artist of the twentieth century. He was a man of many contradictions; hard and tender, mean and generous, affectionate and cold. He professed radical communism but lived the life of a self-indulgent capitalist. He was profoundly superstitious and retained a residually Catholic mentality, but was an atheist. He did not, however, allow any of this to interfere with his colossal creativity and energetic sensuality. Sex and money, eating and drinking, friends and quarrels, comedies and tragedies, suicides and wars all tumble over each other in chaos which followed him throughout his life. Perhaps all are characteristic of his artistic genius. Picasso often said; ''My work is like a diary'' - yes, indeed. Free shipping in the US with a full-price offer. International bidders are welcome! Please inquire for international postage costs. We ship all items fully declared and fully insured. All importation expenses (VAT, duty, etc...) if applicable are the responsibility of the buyer. A notarized Bill-of-Sale will be provided to the buyer of this piece. I have a 100% positive rating on EBay and intend to keep it. I want my customers to be satisfied, so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions whatsoever.
