Skeleton Crew, SIGNED by Stephen King, very good condition, hardback 1st US edition printed in 1985, complete with good dust jacket, opportunity to acquire rare early novel, signed edition in 'very good' condition . Condition: Dust Jacket; very good/good, unclipped, slight nibbling, slight bumping to edges, slight indentation to cover from price sticker removed (approx 1cm square) and a surface scrape along leading edge (approx 3cm - see picture), no tears, slight creasing to inner flap, slight fading/yellowing, slight surface wear, overall complete and good. Boards: slightly faded along top edge, no nicks or tears, nice and straight, good throughout. Text; very good, slight fading, no slant, tight, no foxing, hand signed on the title page, no other inscriptions or marks. Presentation: Appears very good for 25 year+ old book, not mint but still very good, very rare and collectible. Edition: Putnam , 1st US edition, full numberline, hardback, 1985, manufactured in the US. Synopsis: King's exciting collection contains twenty short stories, a short novel, THE MIST, and two poems, each tale showing the distinctive blend of unimaginable terror and realism that typifies King's early work. We meet GRAMMA - who only wants to hug little George, even after she's dead; a primeval sea creature with an insatiable appetite in THE RAFT; an innocent-looking monkey with evil powers in MONKEY and a host of other memorable King creations as he takes the unsuspecting reader on a fantastic journey through the dark, shadowy areas of our innermost fears. Stephen King has written some 40 books and novellas, including CARRIE, THE STAND and RITA HAYWORTH AND SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION (from the collection DIFFERENT SEASONS), BAG OF BONES, ON WRITING and most recently CELL and LISEY'S STORY. He wrote several novels under the pseudonym of Richard Bachman, including BLAZE (June 2007). He won America's prestigious National Book Award and was voted Grand Master in the 2007 Edgar Allen Poe awards. He lives with his wife, novelist Tabitha King, in Maine, USA.
