This early canning jar is in great shape for its age - probably 100 + years. It is without any damage except a shallow 1/4" chip on the base that is mentioned for clarity. A clear and very legible stencil on the front. A.P.DONAGHHO, PARKERSBURG, W. VA., It is guaranteed old and has beautiful color and form. 8 1/2" high and 5" across the base.Do take a look at the stoneware I have listed. The lots I have been listing the past several weeks are a bonanza from an estate in Portsmouth, NH. All the stoneware was in the possession of one collector, who had a passion for good, early pieces. I also have listed my STONEWARE CLEANER that I developed to clean the stubborn inside residue stains found too frequently. This is the only product I've found to work.Although I pack with (I believe) exceptional care and always double box stoneware, I cannot guarantee the shippers. Consequently, insurance is required on stoneware at $1.35 per $100.00.Thanks for your interest in stoneware and looking at my site. Note for winners of my offerings.
