Welcome to my summer semi-annual Limoges Porcelain Auctions. I will be listing over 100 items throughout the coming months, so please check back weekly. Signed T&V Limoges France Various Fruits Berry Bowl Set! (5) Size: Width: 5 ½ " W x 1" H Condition: Excellent. No Chips, Cracks or Restorations. Marked: T & V France (Tressemann and Vogt) Age: According to Mary Gaston's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, Third Edition, the mark dates this piece to Circa early 1892 Description: A gorgeous set of five berry bowls that could easily match several different fruit design console, compote, or master berry bowls. They feature strawberries, blueberries, cherries, gooseberries, and currants. The are painted by the artist M E Lobdell. I have seen this artist's work before so he/she must have been a professional Limoges artist. The artwork certainly suggest this idea since it is quite realistic and expertly carried out. You can almost taste the ripe sweet fruit! These bowls go beautifully with a handpainted Bavarian Century Salad Bowl and a Limoges Master Footed Berry Bowl I currently have up for auction (see last two picutes) so please check them out if you are interested. #4 Please view all my pieces currently available for sale using the gallery below, or visit my store and search under your favorite keyword or the Limoges category of interest.
