we have a campaign book for the most famous of all Hollywood studios, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, for the 1924/1925 season. It is hardcover, orange cloth, measures 12.5 x 9.5 inches and runs to 48 pages. It contains a message from Louis B Mayer, photos of the studio and a couple of pages of facts and figures of the season, the rest being devoted to the beautiful art deco illustrations for the movies which you can see in the pictures. This volume features two of the most iconic silent films of all time, 'The Merry Widow' with Mae Murray and John Gilbert and 'He Who Gets Slapped' with Lon Chaney, Gilbert and Norma Shearer. In addition it features Blanche Sweet, Ramon Novarro, Elinor Glyn, Rex Ingram, Marshall Neilan, Lew Cody, Viola Dana and many, many more.It is generally in very good condition. The cover has slight spotting and the and the spine has cracking with a 2 inch loss to the bottom. T is very slight separation to the front inside hinge, the back hinge is intact. The bulk of the book is excellent - vibrant, tight and robust. A beautiful piece of silent film history. Buyer pays P&P at cost. Seller accepts any kind of payment from UK buyers. Non UK PAYPAL ONLY.
