For your consideration is a vintage, reverse painted silhouette picture. It depicts a woman and a boy and girl all dressed in period costumes. It measures approximately 9 1/2" wide by 12 1/2" tall. On the rear of the picture it describes the process of how the picture was made. It has a butterfly wing effect. Usually with butterfly wings, blue is the iridescent color. On this silhouette, silver and gold (foil?) is gently interspersed through the black to accomplish the butterfly wing effect. The back of the picture w the information is written has a water stain. However, I did not want to cover it over because the buyer would like to have the information contained t This stain does not effect the front of the silhouette at all. Thank you for looking!
