The Silmarillion by J R R Tolkien hardback book. This is a first edition first printing of this book with it being published in 1977 by George Allen & Unwin. It was printed by Billing & Sons and has a blue top stain to the pages. The book is in very good condition and comes housed in its original dust jacket which has not been price clipped (still shows £4.95 net on the inside flap) The jacket shows some signs of light wear (some creasing to the spine and corners and along the top and bottom) Internally, the book is also good. All pages are clean, bright fully legible albeit very slightly yellowed through age. There are no inscriptions or writing anywhere in the book. The book contains a pull out map of Beleriand and the Lands to the North at the back of the book (see photos for details) which is also in great condition.International buyers welcome.
