Up For Auction is 1:AKE A or Delta Kappa Epsilon Silver (31 Grams) Harvard Fraternity Present MedalThe Medal is Engraved with the name Robert Walcott '95 above the Greek Letters AKE A and the date 1852 on one side. The obverse shows a winged Earth above crossed swords connected to a Coat of Arms, this Coat of Arms is of two shields, one within the other. The center Shield shows a Royal Lion on 1/2 the Shield with a crossed pair of skeleton keys over a human ear occupying the two quarters of it's right face. Also present is a Square that is representative (I think) of Mason's Tools. The All-seeing eye overlooks the center Shield that shows two stylized human hearts connected by a chain. The letter A appears below this and just below that is the banner within which the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity's motto appears:Kerothen Philoi Aei "Friends From The Heart Forever" . This Silver Medal is the real article, comes to me from a Client who knows his Estate Sales!!This peice dates back to a time when the notion of Fraturnity (as far as I can discern) in American Ivy League Colleges (Specifically Harvard obviously) was at it's beginning.
