This silver Indian Peace Medal is 3" in diameter. The front of the medal shows a profile picture of Abraham Lincoln and reads, ABRAHAM LINCOLN, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES 1862, on Lincoln's shoulder PATENTED S. ELLIS DEL. SC., is written in small letters. The back side of the medal has two scalping Indians, a plowing scene, a quiver with bow and arrows, and a peace pipe. It has been pierced on top for Indian use.
