A/F Silver Bullet shell w/attached linkage & new decals

Sold For:

Sold Date: 06/28/2011
Channel: Online Auction
Source: eBay

This Auction is for an American Flyer Silverbullet Shell/Body

This shell is complete with the motor mount, attached linkage parts, light lens, and rear cross bar all there. No exterior breaks (nose/cow catcher is complete). One screw post for the pilot wheel is broken off and will need to be rebuilt (JB Weld works great for this).

The chrome finish is chipped in many places and the decals are worn, as is always the case with the silver bullets. The finish should be redone. Here is a rare chance to replace that broken nosed silver bullet train shell!

I have included two sets of water slide decals for the body (two in case you mess the first one up as you are refinishing the shell)

Shipping is an estimate, any overage above $1.00 will be refunded any additional costs I will cover.

I am not a retail shop, I am a hobbyist only. I buy and restore trains for fun not profit, but in order to keep restoring I have to sell them once they are done. Make a reasonable offer and I am sure we can come up with a deal!

Combined shipping available on additional items purchased (Combined shipping will be the cost of the highest shipping cost Auction shipped plus $2.00 for each additional auction won) I ship once per week, Wednesday. So if you buy on Thursday please understand it will take as much as five Business days to get you item out to you. If this is for a gift and you need it ASAP I will try and make an attempt to get your item to you sooner if at all possible. I work nights, so I will answer your questions in early morning hours eastern time.

I am clearing out some of the items I have collected while building my current HO scale layout. I will be listing several Train and slot car items. Most of these items are items that I acquired while buying groups of train equipment at a time. All the items are used and show some wear and use. All items are sold as is with no returns so please ask if you have any questions. They will make a nice addition to a HO scale layout. No reserve all the items will go regardless of price. PayPal (confirmed) is the only method of payment I accept shipping price to lower 48 only, sorry but no international buyers US buyers only.

When I refurbish an engine it includes but is not limited to: completely disassembling the engine down to the gears. All electrical contacts cleaned or redone. All gears cleaned and degreased and then re-greased with white lithium grease. All exposed metal parts are cleaned and high speed buff to remove the decades of dirt and oxidation buildup and to return the original luster of the metal. Any wiring looking in need of replacement is removed and replaced. Any broken or missing coupler replaced (with original style couplings) and when needed the hand rails replaced/repaired . If any paint or body work needed to be done on the train it will be listed what was done and noted. The original lettering/numbering on the train is preserved unless otherwise noted.
