SILVER DOUBLE SIDED CASTLE TOP CARD CASE DATED 1840 SILVER DOUBLE SIDED CASTLE TOP CARD CASE DATED 1840 This superb Double Sided Silver Card Case by Nathaniel Mills dated 1840 is a rare Case as it Shows two different locations one to each side. The first being the important Warwick castle and Kenilworth Castle on the reverse. The fine carving is quite exquisite to both these images, the attractive curved sides gives the case a really nice look finishing with superb flower and leaf engraving to the main body. The full hallmarks for Nathaniel Mills Dated 1840 Birmingham are found to the inside rim of the lid. Overall condition is very good indeed with no damage or repairs, the hinge fitting to the top is just slightly loose and may need a small adjustment tighten a fraction. The size of the case is 10cm x 7cm. This Card Case is a collectors must have.
