An unusual Edwardian double sovereign case, having two sprung-loaded sections for sovereigns, and also a spring loaded section for stamps. The case is kidney-shaped, and has a plain, unengraved exterior. Well hallmarked for Birmingham 1906. Makers mark: P.M over E.H. Excellent condition. Made to be hung on a gentleman's fob chain. Measures 7.25cm (2.7/8 inch) wide and 3.75cm (1.7/16 inch) deep. Inside is gilded.
