Sold at NO RESERVEThis is being relisted due to non payment This is an English made fusee movement with a rare Double Wheel Duplex.The movement was exported to the US and comes in an American coin silver case. The watch will tick and work but does stop when the bezel is closed. The watch has NOT been cleaned or serviced and is sold “ as is” .The movement has a Double wheel duplex escapement with the escape wheel made up of two Star wheels on top of each other. The large wheel providing the rest and the smaller one gives the impulse.Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a double wheel duplex escapement as described above. The movement is signed “Chas Reed Junr, 20 Gt Sutton St, London, No 2002”. The movement is in 70% mint condition – spotting on the steel work and many small marks and scratchesThe movement has its original gilt dust capCase – the movement comes in an American coin silver Hunter case, which has a hinged bezel, back and front cover. the watch is wound from the back and set from the front and swings out from the front also. The watch has coin edged sides and engine turningThe original case is marked “O J & Bro” and numbered 2002. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the button on the stem in. The case is in 70% mint condition – rubbing to the engine turning and some larger deep bruises also – these could be pushed out to improve the look of the caseDial – the white enamel dial has gilt hour and minute hands and a short blue seconds hand. The dial is signed “Patent Chronometer, No 2002”The dial is in 70% mint condition – hairline cracks on the sub seconds, faint hairlines on the 12 and a chip in the dial right above the 12 on the edge of the dialThe watch has a mineral glassThe watch measures 52mm wide x 17mm deepThe watch is key wound / key set and comes with a key Check out my other items !
