Sunbonnet Baby thimbles Hard to Find, Limited Edition 2500 One for each day of the week. Each thimble has a glued-on hand-painted enamel plaque very detailed that depicts one day's chore: mending, washing, ironing, sweeping, dusting, baking, and fishing. All feature Molly and May, the original Sunbonnet Babies, created by Betha L. Corbett in the early 1900's. They are approximately 7/8" tall, These silver-plated metal thimbles are in excellent undented condition and each is stamped on the back 'Downs 1979 Limited Ed. 2500' Thimbles do show some tarnish that could easily be removed with a little cleaner. This is a ready-made collection--the perfect gift for a thimble collector or for a Sunbonnet Baby collector! The bonus thimble has Santa on the enamel disk. He is carrying a Christmas tree over his shoulder and a sack in one hand. Again the art work is very detailed. These 8 thimbles will make a priceless addition to your collection and are sure to increase in value as the years go by. Like New Condition, No chips, cracks or dust.
