A very interesting Sterling silver gilt enamel badge of a shipping flag, made by Norwegian silversmith Hestenes for a shipping company called "A.S. D.S. Mathilda" owned by Messrs Jacob Christensen (now controlled by the Odfjell family). It features 2 pins at the back for fastening on a lapel or cap. I made a photo of the badge next to 3 well known coins (a quarter Dollar, 1 Euro, 1 British Pound) to give you an idea about the size - it measures 0.6 " by 1" (2 cm by 2,4 cm). The badge is in excellent condition, no damage to the silver or enamel. The badge comes together with 3 cards (10,5 cm by 15cm) which bear the ships logo ( Maltese Cross) at the upper left corner.
