This is for a fabulous large sterling silver vanity hand mirror. It has a detailed scene on the back depicting a full fox hunt gathering outside an English stately home. There are riders on horse back with the hunting dogs and on both sides of the handle is a crossed hunting horn, riding crop, foxes tail along with a horse shoe and a dogs head. There is an art nouveau scroll framing the mirror and down the handle on both sides and the silver carries a full set of English hallmarks dating it to Birmingham 1907 with the makers initials W.A for William Aitken. It is an impressive mirror that is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or clouding to the mirror. I have a very similar looking hair and clothes brush for sale as well from the same set with a different hunting scenes and i am selling them separately this week. The mirror measures 270mm (11") tall by 114mm (4.3") across and weighs 386 grams.
