A Very Nice Silver and Guilloche Enamel Compact...around 1910 Stockwell and Co Description: A Very Nice Silver and Guilloche Enamel Compact...around 1910 Stockwell and Co This is in very good conditon with only very very slight signs of use....marked for 935 silver in the country of manufacture...probably Switzerland...and then marked as 925 silver when imported by Stockwell and Co into the London Trade around 1910 (the mark is a capital P). All parts of this compart are hallmark so it's all solid silver, except for the mirror of course. The enamel is in good condition with only some very very fine scratches which are only mentionioned for accuracy as they are not immediately visible. Likewise a tiny ding to the back. The hinge and catch are secure and good and work perfectly and crisply. The marcasite flower motif on the front is secure but does move on it's pin a fraction when tried...it's not going to fall off and hasn't been repaired...most likely it was always like that It measures 47 mm square and 9 mm deep. The total weight is around 54 grams. Please take a good look at the many photos which are an important part of the description.
