An amazing Silver case watch. with a very fine pictured dial of Napoleon on his horse Marengo , verge fusee movement .made Vaucher, a listed maker Paris. C 1800 very well priced. PLEASE DO TAKE TIME TO READ THE FULL LISTING AND DO ENLARGE THE PHOTOGRAPHS TO SEE THIS GREAT WATCH. SORRY FOR ANY REFLECTION. The silver case measures 41 m.m. edge to edge. all clips work well on the case. The glass is high doomed bull nose clean and clear. weight of the watch is 58 grms and is very good weight for a pocket watch. The original unusual black hands. The dial has been professionally restored digitally with a pictured and enamelled dial, with very good picture of Napoleon on his horse Marengo, with a lot of fine detail. Roman numerals for the hours. The size of the dial is 36 m.m. Front wind. The fire gilt movement looks just like the day it left the makers, and signed on the back plate Vaucher A Paris with a very nice fine engraved and pierced balance cock, with a silver Tompion type regulator. It runs to the full length of the chain, and keeping verge time variation of aprox C 2 minuets per hour. It just goes to show what very good watchmaker Vaucher was to have made this very fine watch and for it to run so very well after all these years . will come with a key.
