They really do the job of honing an extreamly fine cutting edge. Now remember, the key word in Honing. Once you have a properly ground and sharpened edge, the stropping will draw the sharp edge to a razor sharp edge by drawing the blade away from the edge over the leather. The tan belting leather side can be used with or without a pumas type grit added, and the synthetic white side is used with no grits for a final polishing. This is a fine quality tool that will keep your edges razor sharp for many years with proper care. Another fine tool offered for sale as shown and described, fit for those who demand the best.
