For any other destination, please email for a shipping quote. Thistle was brought out in 1906 by Simmons Hardware Co, which was best known for their line of Keen Kutter knife blades. Apparently this company did not sell through the usual jewelry and department store outlets. Instead they used the hardware and general stores to put their silver before the public. It can also be found with the mark of the EH Smith Company. The pattern is an art nouveau wreath of thistles with leaves trailing down to the end of the handle. All three pieces have the SH CO A1 mark as well as the Keen Kutter logo. Youth sets are a feature of silverware designed for those who are no longer little children, can be trusted with a knife, and are not yet ready for adult sized silverware. Typically they feature a knife and fork about 2/3rds the size of regular place pieces. Some sets have also a spoon which is interchangeable with the coffee spoon.
