On the back of her head is marked K "star of David" R Simon & Halbig, 117, 70. The body has Seeley's stamped on the back. Kammer & Reinhardt, registered trade mark K "star of David" R, designed dolls head of which most were made by German doll maker Simon & Halbig, such as this one, 1886 to 1930. Simon & Halbig is known for its high quality dolls. Some dolls did not have mold numbers, just the size number in centimeters. This is a bisque socket head on well made composition body, jointed at the neck, arms, elbows, wrists, legs and knees. There is only a bit of age wear on the body but you can see by the pictures, it is a beauty. This doll has a pretty face with no scratches. Any lines you see in the pictures are from her hair. Open glass eyes with painted black lashes around her eyes, brown feathered brows and a closed mouth. Long human hair wig is believed to be original. She wears a vintage lace dress accented with ribbon. Dress snaps down the back and is in clean condition. Her undergarments are also a vintage slip and panties with knee high stockings.Her bonnet is made with WOnderful shining silver thread.
