Welcome to my auction ! SINGER MODEL 128 HEAVY DUTY SEWING MACHINE This small but powerful machine (21 lbs) is in TOP MECHANICAL condition. It was made in St-Johns (Quebec, Canada) in 1948, serial number JB695257. 8 layers of heavy jeans are easy to sew ! This machine accepts the commercial nylon thread size 69. If you need a weatherproof thread which will resist to the sun exposure for sunbrella, boat covers, etc., I suggest you the Coats D-64 Upholstery nylon thread. It is available worldwide in any fabric store and serious sewing shops. This machine is ideal for sailboats, RV's, camping ground, it is PERFECT FOR THE "ON THE SPOT" JOBS ! On soft leather, heavy canvas and suede, this machine is amazing too ! GREAT for general, auto and marine upholstery like car & boat seats, airplane seats, boat covers, chairs and couch recovering. Layers of heavy canvas and sailcloth are very easy to sew with this machine! No problem in 4 layers of nylon webbing (security belt) ! As well as in 9 layers of sunbrella ! All these samples used to set up this machine are included. WARNING !!
