ORIGINAL, VINTAGE 1955 Singer Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine Made in U.S.A. includes: Machine Case Attachments (9) as shown Extra Bobbin Foot Pedal power cord All in excellent condition. This is a model 221 Featherweight Sewing Machine that is in incredible condition. The deep rich, black laquer finish is beautiful with only minor scratches and wear. The gold decals are in very good condition with less than average wear for it's 56 years of age. The original carrying case in included and the latches work fine. The bobbin case is rust-free and working flawlessly (this is the place to check to see if a machine has been taken care of properly) Also included are the attachments as shown in the pictures. This machine is my personal Featherweight and has been pampered for many years and used for quilting trips and related events. It has been regularly cleaned and lubricated by a local professional sewing center. The Singer Featherweight portable sewing machine is a model made by that company between 1933 and 1964. The machine (model 221), adapted from an earlier portable, the Standard SewHandy (which company was bought out by Singer) weighs about 11 pounds and has been found to be an ideal machine for quilters and other sewers to take to classes or "on location."
