Singer Featherweight 222 Free Arm Sewing Machine Singer Featherweight model 222 sewing machines, also known as "Freearm" or "Convertible" Singer Featherweights, have a feature that was not found on the model 221 machines. The Freearm Featherweights were designed with a tubular bed feature that allows a portion of the flat bedplate to be removed so you can sew around sleeve cuffs or pant legs. The model 222 Featherweight machines also have a feature that allows you to drop the feed dogs to enable machine darning and embroidery. There were relatively few 222s produced compared to 221s. Many of those offered for sale today were made for use in the UK and have 220V motors that require a voltage converter to be used in the US. Not so with this one! This beautiful Featherweight 222 has a Singer factory 110V motor that requires no conversion . The motor runs strong and quiet. It is one of the nicest Featherweights made. The stitch is straight and precise and it has beautiful to look at too! The case and various attachments are included as well. * Very good/ excellent condition. * Serial number is (EJ 617015). * Everything is working and ready to be used. * This machine was made in Great Britian to run on 110v. * It has various original attachments and extras (as shown) * The case is in excellent shape.
