*** Up for bid is a wonderful antique SINGER hand crank sewing machine *** Description: I've been told this is a 1903 Model 28 Singer sewing machine, made in Scotland. However, I am no expert so please make your own judgement. I've looked all over this unit but was unable to find a model# plate or date of manufacture. T are plenty of up close photos so please review them carefully before bidding. I would be pleased to answer any specific questions you may have. Serial# R1230676 This unit comes with an extra shuttle, (2) extra needles, and a bobbin (see photos). The storage compartment slides easily and is not damaged. The unit pivots off the base for access to the underside. The Walnut case is in pretty decent condition and the latch does work. The cover's handle is sturdy. The hand crank turns very smoothly and the shuttle, needle, and advance mechanism all appear to be working well with no binding or unusual noise. *** T is no Reserve on this auction, highest bidder wins! *** Disclosures: As you see in the photos, t is one missing shuttle cover plate. As stated earlier, I am not 100% sure that this is a 1903 MDL 28 so please use you own judgement. If you can identify this machine as another model#, I would like to hear from you.
