SINGER F*E*A*T*H*E*R*W*E*I*G*H*T 221-1 This auction is for a Singer Featherweight 221-1 sewing machine. Serial number starts with AF so I think this is from the 1930's. It has the scroll deco plate. Case handle is not broken or taped. This also includes a lot of accessories, booklets, needles, grease tube, everything you need. Motor reads "Sewing Motor, Cat. 3-110, 100-110 volts, 25-75 cycles and DC, O.4 ampere, Simanco, USA" and very quiet when running. Some decal wear on front of machine but sides and back look great. Belt is nice and tight and not worn. Also included is an original featherweight table with model number stamped on bottom and also on insert. Measures 30" x 30" x 27-1/2". Has wood top and black metal legs. Very sturdy and ready to use. A few scuffs. Added information from an ebayer about the featherweight. Thank you again for sending it to me. "Your machine was Born December-5-1939. Your machine is kind of rare, but most people will never know it because they don't know much about the different 221's. December-5-1939 Singer put out AF371856 to AF391855. They put out four different 221's THAT I KNOW OF 1) The regular AF HIGH SINGER Decal on the light and Chrome Stitch Length Indicator. 2) Your AF machine, FIRST Ever LOW SINGER Decal on light, And First Ever Black painted Stitch Length Indicator. 3) A Very Rare AF machine with the SINGER Decal on the ARM of the machine. and 4) the Very Very Rare Crinkle AF machine. Half way through the production run in Aug-1940, Singer went back to the Low SINGER decal on the light and the Black stitch length indicator. And never changed it again."
