's a SINGER Featherweight 221-1 Sewing Machine for auction. Serial number AD729222, circa 1934. I tested it and was successfully able to wind the bobbin, thread the machine and do a few straight stitches. The motor runs smoothly, without binding, and the light is working. Cosmetically, it's a good looking machine for its age. Most of the gold-colored inlay is intact. The bed and extension have some tiny nicks. Also, some scattered scratches and small scuffs. The case and lift-out tray are in good condition. The leather handle shows some wear but is fully intact. Sold as-is. Includes: SINGER Featherweight 221-1 Sewing Machine Original Carrying Case with Lift-Out Upper Tray Working Case Key Original Singer Foot Control SIMANCO USA 45750 Bobbin Case Three Bobbins Original Singer 221-1 Instruction Manual (good condtion with a few tears) Assorted Feet, Parts and Accessories, as picturedShipping, handling and insurance is $34.95 via FedEx Ground/Home Delivery, Continental U.S. only, Alaska higher.
