I am selling this beautiful little 60 year old Singer Featherweight because I just inherited one from my aunt. I've had this one for years, and would keep it if I wasn't replacing it with my aunt's Featherweight which has sentimental value. I sew for a living, and nothing makes a prettier stitch than a featherweight. This machine is in perfect working condition. The foot control and cord are in super condition. T's not any electrical tape on the cord, nor is t a need for it. Because of the nature of the exposed belt on a featherweight, it's easy to wear spots in the cords. These cords have none of that wear. The serial number for the machine is AH 565233 which means that it dates from 1947-1948. It was made in Elizabethport, NJ. Included in the sale is the original manual, 5 bobbins, 6 feet including the standard split toe for straight stitching. One of the remaining feet is the zipper foot, and I'm afraid I don't recognize the application of the other 4 feet, but they came with the machine. One of the rubber feet on the bottom of the machine itself has worn. I would replace it if I were keeping the machine. In the photo of the bottom of the machine, it's the rubber foot in the upper left hand corner. The bed has natural wear from use, slight pin scratches. T are also a few pits on the bed.
