Singer Portable Electric Sewing Machine 221-1 Serial Number AG884041 - which I believe dates it to 1941. This machine was owned and used by my friend's grandmother, who continued using it into her retirement years, as you can see from the service sticker on the case from Florida. She was the first and sole owner of this machine - and it has been kept in excellent shape. This lot includes the machine itself, motor, case, inner tray, and all the attachments you see. Also needles, original Instruction booklet, 2 sets of keys for the case, Singer machine oil (newer) and original Singer Motor Lubricant. Other than watching my mother sew, I am no expert on machines, but I will describe as best as possible - please ask any questions you may have. I plugged in the machine and it seems to work fine, even the light comes on with the switch. I did not try to sew any stitches because I am not a sewer. The belt is in great condition, no breaks, still feels soft and usable, not brittle or cracked. T is a piece of black felt under the thread. The bobbin holder is , and even has a bobbin with thread on it. T is a needle still in place. The black finish and gold filigree work on the machine is very good to excellent. T are a few places w t is wear on the filigree and light surface scratches on the finish, but t are no deep gouges, cracks or deep scratches. This machine was well cared for by the original owner. It has the fancy scrollwork on the silver face plate - also in very good to excellent condition with a nice shine, no rust - looks very good! Attachments you can see in pictures - I am trying to identify them from the Instruction booklet - I believe they are - The Foot Hemmer - The Binder - Ruffler - Hemstitcher - an Adjustable Hemmer - some adjusting screws - and a couple others I'm not sure of. Also has 2 loop handle screwdrivers, and something that looks kind of like tweezers. You also get "Sewing Motor Controller" 95-145 volts 0.7 Ampere Part No 195322 with plug and attachment to plug into the machine. Right w the plug attaches to the machine t is a plastic cuff around the 3 prongs on the machine - the bottom part of this plastic cuff has broken off. You can still plug the controller in fine and use it. The broken piece is included. The Sew ing Motor is Catalog 3-110, 100-110 volts, 25 to 75 cycles and D.C 0.4 Ampere Simanco USA. Red S on the motor. The case and tray are in good condition - show some wear as you would expect, case has 2 latches and handle, closes securely. If you've been looking for one of these machines in great usable condition - this is the one to get! I will pack this machine into the case and double box it for safe travels. Bid with confidence! 100% feedback means excellent customer service for you. Your satisfaction guaranteed - see my returns policy. Local pickup in the Baltimore/Washington area always available, no pickup charges. I am a trading assistant, please contact me to help sell your items - estates welcomed! I've uploaded another picture of the Bobbin assembly with the Bobbin case removed to show that the center stud is t and functional. Thanks for the question!
