This is a beautiful Singer Featherweight! In excellent condition. This exquisite machine serial number AE540794. This is a RARE pre-World War II Featherweight machine. The motor runs smooth and sounds like it is new. The painted surface of the machine is bright and shiny but has some very minor pin scratches as can be expected in a machine of this age. The gold decaling has some minor wear on the front of the bed extension of the machine. Overall the decals are in excellent shape considering this beauty is 69 years old! This machine features a scroll face with a rather rare chrome hand wheel and polished zinc screws typical of some pre-war models. The serial number dates it at JUNE-11-1937. In this same production run, Singer changed the Face Plate to the Full Scroll. And went to the Numbered Thread Tensioner. This machine missed this change by just a few machines. Also, note the Decal, it has already changed. It NO longer runs up to the light switch on this machine. This would make the machine one of the last to have the Original Face Plates and Un-numbered thread tensioners. The original case is in good condition with the exception of the handle which has considerable wear. The foot pedal and power cord are in very good condition. T is also an original instruction manual, extra bobbins, and many other machine accessories included read more
