Singer Puzzle Box Sewing Machine 1889 Attachments FAB Item Description: This auction is for an Original 1889 Singer Treadle Sewing Puzzle Box with tons of attachments. This is a Tiger or Quartersawn Oak Folding Wooden Box with attachments. It is marked faintly on the top I believe it is the "Patented February 19, 1889" mark as it is just like many other puzzle boxes we have offered on eBay over the last month or so. It is amazing how these boxes are designed with dove-tailed joints and brass hinges to hold all your attachments and then fold nicely into a beautiful box! This puzzle box has is almost complete with the original attachments ...check out the photo below to be sure. The box is in fabulous condition with only the slightest finish wear. The velvet lining faded to be expected with age and light use. These small imperfections are to be expected with a 100+ year old piece. Super piece of 1800's sewing memorabilia.
