TIFFANY - GINGERBREAD DECAL Runs smoothly and gives a continuous beautiful stitch - even after almost 91 years! You are bidding on an Antique Singer treadle sewing machine with a gorgeous Tiffany Gingerbread pattern decal set in a beautiful, and much sought after, Tiger Oak, seven drawer carved cabinet . According to Singer literature, this is Cabinet #5. The carving around each of the six drawer knobs and on each side is exquisite, same as for the center drawer. The center drawer pulls out and has 3 separate compartments for your various singer sewing accessories. T aren't any pieces of the ornate cabinet details that are missing or broken. The treadle base is in excellent condition and operates very smoothly and without any effort. This is a workhorse of a machine - sewing through lace and layers of heavy materials. Keys to the cabinet are included. This Singer treadle machine head bears the serial number G 5004204. You are bidding on an original, and beautiful, piece of Singer history. This is a working machine and runs very smoothly. It is a delight to sew with. We have cleaned, oiled, lubricated, and put on a new leather belt. T is little wear of the decals, only w the material has gone across the machine head after years and years of household sewing. The nickel on the ornate face plate and decorative round inspection cover are in wonderful condition. As you can see from the photos, the face plate has a flowering design. We have attempted to show as many parts of the machine as possible for your bidding, especially the bobbin-winder, face plate, decals, cabinet (which still do not do justice to this beautiful piece of workmanship), and other areas which become worn over the years. A copy of the manual can also be downloaded free of charge from the Singer web site. According to Singer enthusiasts, the model 15 was just about perfect. It was the longest manufactured machine in history. It sews anything from silk to canvas without a complaint. The round bobbin and oscillating shuttle mechanism allows it to work faster and quieter than previous models.
