Cast Iron Singer Sewing Machine Base, last in a long line of Singer bases. In good shape with no breaks or repairs. Measures 28 high, 20 1/2 wide and 12 deep (top). Eleven inches between mounting holes on top. Singer logos on ends and center all painted gold (as were the original bases). Shipping: Base will be taken apart and packed between layers of heavy cardboard and heavily taped, then placed in flat box. Assembly requires large flat blade screw driver and adjustable wrench or large pliers. Takes about 15 minutes to assemble. This model base was used from 1903(patent date) to about until they went out of production. The width was changed (narrowed at some point), this was the more narrow one (see dimensions) Please note, I loose money on the shipping (remember Ebay takes 18 % of what you pay for shipping. Even when adequately packed, remember the unit is made from cast iron which is brittle-if the unit is dropped or thrown, it may break-there is simply no way I can prevent mishandling.
