Up for auction is this , WONDERFULLY MADE Sioux NAtive American INdian Beaded bag, made of hide .

Identified as" Siooux Beaded Possibles Bag, trapazoid shape Horse & rider Pictorial, Greasy Yellow Background 7 inches tall, trade beads on strap Nice Piece, South Dakota" ( originally bought in South Dakota)

Tin cones on dangles, LAzy stitch, No beads missing, tin cones have some rust dangles are each twisted ( corkscrew effect) Hide on the back of hte bag has surface dirt, I don't know if it's cleanable, It's not offensive or distracting, just showing it's age, no lining inside, shows use inside, smells faintly of tobacco,

Seed Beads are: Maroon , white, red, blue, green, light blue, greasy yellow. trade beads are red, and light blue with dark blue stripes

Rare Unusual Shape, Possible Bags are not offered for sale very often.17 inches long including dangles, Bag itself is 7 inches tall X 6 1/4 at the bottom, 4 3/4 at the top.

from an Awesome collection, Items were collected from early 1900's -1950's, most on or near reservations, One of those great collectors who leave the hang tags on & keep any paper about origin with the items!
