I got this knock-out knife case in with an assortment of items near Martin, South Dakota. It is probably from the first half of the 1900's. It is all hand sewn using small glass seed beads on home-tanned buckskin.T is a buckskin handle at the top and little buckskin tendrils coming from the right and left sides. Starting at the top of the case t is a box design in the bead work that usually represents family. You can see that t are several layers to this family with little boxes sitting just outside the the outer boundaries. Next t is a layer of fringes that sort of hides the first depiction of a flag pointing to the right. Under this is another flag pointing to the left all set against a green field of beads. T are mountain designs around the outside rows of bead work. T is a beaded drop coming from the bottom point done in red, white and blue and little fringes flowing from the end of this drop. The knife came with the sheath and I will sell them together. The knife is carbon steel with the MW symbol and the words WARDS RAZOR GROUND stamped into one side of the blade. The knife measures about 13 inches from end to end and averages about an inch wide. The sheath measures 11 inches from the top opening to the bottom point , with the drop and fringes adding another 7 1/2 inches. The sheath is 3 3/4 inches across the top opening going read more
