Sir Francis Chichester silver award medal from the Queen & the Duke of Edinburgh personal medalist, Paul Vince in 1967, and housed in it's original case of issue lined with silk, and housed in a recessed inside pocket with a red flip top case. The top of the case is stamped in gold gilt: "Sir Francis Chichester - Gypsy Mot - 1966-1967. Sir Chichester received this award medal for circumnavigating the world in 6 monts, and 1 day [ 1966-1957 ]. It was struck in sterling silver by Spink of London, and edge marked 44 & also marked on the trunciation on the obverse. The obverse features a left facing profile in high relief aboard his sloop with his name along the inside rim with the mast and sail in the backround.
