Sir Terry Frost RA 'Orange Dusk' A fantastic opportunity to own this early, vibrant, quintessential Frost . unframed Lithograph 1970 Number 32 from an Edition of 75 Signed in pencil by the artist dimensions: Sheet size: 904 x 636 mm Image : 675 x 516 mm Published by Leslie Waddington Prints Condition: Item is unframed, generally in good clean condition, however there is a horizontal mount stain along the lower border, approx 7cm below the image. This could be covered with a mount, thus not detracting from the image.Slight scuffing to sheet edges and slight marks to reverse, as one would expect on a print of this age. This work will be sent 'signed for' delivery, securely packaged in a robust 5 inch postal tube, or buyer may collect, London SE6. Born in 1915, Terry Frost served in the Army and was held prisoner of war. Whilst imprisoned in Bavaria he met painter Adrian Heath who encouraged Frost to paint in oil. Studied after the war at Birmingham College of Art, then at St Ives School of Painting and at Camberwell School of Art in the late 1940s. Frost taught at several art schools, which included periods at Reading and Newcastle Universities. 1949 Frost started to paint abstract and returned shortly after to St Ives where he worked as assistant to Barbara Hepworth.
