The Poetical Works of Sir Walter Scott. Published as far as I can tell in 1851 in Edinburgh by Adam and Charles Black. Handsomely bound, gold leaf to page edges. Intact throughout. Spine intact. Occasional small tears to page edges. Beautifully illustrated throughout. Delicate tissue inserts against illustrations. Some yellowing as you would expect from a book this age. It is difficult to state categorically what the publishing date is as several appear in the book (reproduced from earlier editions). 1851 seems the most likely.Please note that there are two hand-written notes on the flyleaves of the book. One which says "64" and the other which is a small signature. Photos added to illustrate. Apologies for not noticing these on the original post.
