SITZENDORFER PORCELAIN FIGURINE You are bidding on this vividly decorated German porcelain floral encrusted chrub urn on a rococo scrolled and footed base with reticulated lid by Sitzendorfer Porzellanfabrik Gebrüder Voigt (some also refer to it as Dresden, even though it is not). Hand -painted in bright colors and applied decoration. This piece bears the printed maker's mark for before 1902. T is a chip on one of the leafy handles (see picture) and the usual nicks on two of the applied flowers. I promise to ship this must-have piece carefully! Dimensions: 16" high x 6 " x 6" feet Weight: 5 pounds, 13 ounces After further research, I believe this urn to be from Von Schierholz of Plaue, Thuringia, Germany. This mark is shown to have been used c.1865-1911 - the marks and items for Sitzendorfer and this company were similar at one time and that is how I may have confused the two. This only increases the value of the urn. T is one compote with this mark on efineantiques and it is selling for $1450 with damage! is your Ebay treasure!
